You know, wouldn't it be interesting if someone wrote in a novel that Vampires were secretly manipulating Nixon to not back US currency with gold, so that today our currency is threatened while gold and silver are getting more and more expensive -- so that silver becomes too costly for anti-Vampire weaponry?

In other words, the Vampires manipulate the currency to price it out of the range of the humans who would use the silver to harm them? :toothy

Cost has never stopped the use of weapons before.
I doubt silver would ever become too expensive to use as weapons especially as the silver can always be recovered after use unlike a cruise missile for example. :lol

Silver was never used as a killing device against vampires until recent Hollywood productions. Incidentally... the sun never harmed a vampire until the 1922 Murnau movie Nosferatu. So it is understandable that there's confusion as to what can and can't kill a vampire.

Silver is for werewolves.

But all that's superstition and bogus remedies concocted by religious superstitious people thinking those beings are the product of Satan. They however exist in some form or another in nearly every culture, every religion... so... the assumption they are the spawn of just one... is beyond ridiculous. :thumbsup

Garlic. What you're looking for is garlic. A world without garlic is no world for me. That would make the most horrifying book or movie ever, if the one thing that could kill a vampire, was also the one thing that makes most foods so damned good........................the garlic (and associated bulb legumes...onions shallots etc etc) all died from some sicko twisted virus and all of the sudden nothing could stop the vampires nor spruce up pasta. Now that's a book. I'm sitting here in a cold sweat just trying to imagine Carrabbas...........garlic free.
