Got the Anti-Aliasing Soft 2 back and that is NOT better.

Currently printing Anti-Aliasing Sharp 2 to see how that fares.

Got it done. It is about on par with the version without anti-aliasing. There are some smoother areas, but it has some issues with edges, so the benefit is lost.

I'll stick with normal without anti-aliasing. At least when using Lychee slicer.

Sadly, I had just gotten started, but it was halted by health issues. Not related to 3D printing, so I'll get back to that as soon as I'm over this current issue. Though... with what the doctor said... I'd need to undergo a lot more tests... so things may take a while. Sorry guys. But at least I no longer hate resin 3D printing like I did before. Now I just want to get back to working with it because I finally got it working.

Hopefully I can get back to it in about 2-3 weeks. Maybe earlier, but no promises.

I'm sorry to hear that things are still troubling you, Carsten. You have to take care of yourself first and foremost of course and I hope you are better soon.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate it. I currently don't know how things are going, whether they are getting worse, stagnated or getting better. I'm doing everything I can to follow the doctors advice, but it's hard not really doing much every day but just sit around and then only move a little. Will speak with the doctor next week.

Well, we may now know what has caused the health issues. Not the best news, though... but at least now I know what the cause may be.

Will see if I can get things up and running again sometime this week. No promises though

Am currently printing the main chest armor to see if the supports I added and orientation is good enough. I'll let you know once I get it out of the machine in about 1-2 hours from now... have already printed for a few hours.

Also went through all the models I could prep for printing and made print ready models with supports. The remaining will need to have some test prints done to see which orientation is best, as well as finishing out the face mask models so they don't trap resin inside. I've hollowed them out, but need to add drain holes or openings. I may just trim away the whole closed back, but that may make it too flimsy when printing, so I'll probably leave some areas running across the back connecting each side for support, which people can then trim away.

Have also considered how I could do the dome position so it sits perfect every time... though... I really don't feel up to doing that right now. Now I just want to make sure things print properly and start getting things in motion.

If you need help with any slicing etc, I'd be glad to lend a hand. Been printing for a long while now. Both FDM and Resin.

Thanks man. Appreciate the offer. Am having some difficulty orientating the chest armor to get a proper print. Last one was a failure. I guess the angle was too steep, as there are displacement lines horizontally across the front of the armor in several places. Will try to angle it down more, so it isn't so vertical. Will try another print another day, as I'm test printing something else tonight and may print some endoskeleton parts tomorrow.

At least these test prints that I printed right after came out okay. The orientation on these work without issues, though, the grills are prone to capturing and keeping water and excess resin in the spaces, so I need to invest in a better connector between my compressor and airbrush, as for some reason, just screwing the airbrush directly onto it doesn't give a tight enough fit, so the air can't keep the pressure up. I'll try with one of my other airbrushes to see if one of those work for now.

You can actually see the knurling pattern on the six metal studs on the belt box in pictures. Hard to tell just by looking at it, as it's just too small.

I was checking out a company selling protective masks, as the one I had wasn't sealed so couldn't be used for what I needed it for, but the place didn't sell to anything but companies, so that was a bust. There's another place in town, but I haven't been able to go there to see if they can help me get the right filters too.

I've been working on sculpting pants on the bodies. Got to the point where I have baked the ANH legs, so now I'm working on the ESB ones, while also working on the arms. Going to start the RotJ arms soon, but am not settled on a pose for that statue yet. Considering doing the "There is no conflict" or "Obi-Wan trained you well" pose. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Working with someone new to handle the printing, since I can't seem to get that happening myself, so hopefully there'll be an update on that soon.

This pictures doesn't show the amount of work I had to put into this to get it done. But thought I'd share it anyway.

Realized a few days ago that I hadn't aligned the RotJ lower grill properly... but thought I didn't really want to mess with it to fix it. Then today, when helping someone else, I was told the RotJ grills were not the same style as ESB... so I will have to rework them after all.

From now on I will probably not offer the versions of the face masks with the grills as part of the print, as I do not want to fix all the errors that occurs when I do the boolean merge of the grill model to the face mask. The work I have seen on the ANH and ESB and current RotJ and Symmetrical face mask... well... I can just say... it would probably take 1-2 days to fix each gap between each tooth... so it would take a heck of a lot of time. So I will only offer the version with the mouth and chin vent cut out to accommodate the grill model to be inserted from the inside.

Well... at least this way I won't remain annoyed by the wrongly angled lower grills... since I now have a bigger reason to rework them.

I'll keep people posted.
