I still havnt seen the film :rolleyes But upon viewing these stills of Vader,I cant help but wonder what they were thinking with this cape?As mentioned,it looks thin and why is wrapped around his neck?Horrid. The mask looks ok,but again,as mentioned here,it does have a plastic(y) look to it

That's because it is a 3d printed helmet off a laserscanned Quasi ANH V2 . It is plastic.

I swear that the first Vader helmet seen in Rouge One looks like a Sith planet face.

It is a 3d scanned Quasimodo V2 ANH face.

As I said on the Brian Muir Rogue One thread,
This was supposed to be a precise recreation of the
ANH Darth Vader. Done so by a "special team" created
solely for this purpose. Why Brian Muir's name was even raised by LFL is a mystery to me as so many good examples of ANH Vader helmets exist and are accessible, if not an original screen used, that I fail to see what he could actually contribute, beyond Vader fan excitement. But in the end I hate this helmet. I don't like the ROTJ. positioning of the dome.
I hate the overdone 'red eyes', that were clearly a response to the positive reaction for the Rebels Vader red eyes. And they filed/sanded away the apex at the 5 o'clock position on the neck, which makes the edge of the neck look like it is sticking out too far.
