Yeah, the costumes in that first movie really were something special. They really went all out and when watching the movie you can only be amazed by the amount of movability they were able to get out of those suits.

Being a little let down with the Blu Ray and soundtrack offering, I decided to write some companies to see whether they would have any interest in releasing good versions.

I wrote Criterion Collection regarding a potential remastered, possibly extended edition or with loads of deleted scenes, audio commentary and other extras, release. In fact, there already is a sort of extended edition with extra features out of the first movie - the German DVD release. However, already having the 3-pack box set on DVD, if I had to upgrade, it would be preferred to be to Blu-Ray with all the extras and more from that German DVD release. I even suggested to them, in case they don't have a particular company working for them regarding print restorations and remastering that they should consider the company that did the new The Terminator restoration. Man... they did great work. Basically no shodding DNR smoothing and crappy waxy image, but crisp and sharp and with the film grain retained. THAT's how restorations and remasterings should be done!!!

Then I wrote Intrada Records regarding a potential release of the full John du Prez score, as the currently available soundtrack only has brief parts of his compositions, such as the Shredder's Suite, as well as Splinter's Tale 1 & 2, however, there the music is covered by Splinter's dialogue from the movie.

It really would be great if those two releases happened. Great with a pristine Blu-Ray offering with loads of extras and awesome if the score was released. Here's to hoping, but not really holding my breath.

It's interesting to note: there are two shell designs in the first movie. Donatello and Raphael share the same design with two large hexagonal shapes in the center and a narrow outer border, and much rougher age lines, whereas Leonardo and Michaelangelo share the design with 3 small hexagonal shapes and a broad outer border and smooth age lines and rings.

For some reason it won't open up the full scale picture when clicking the thumbnail pictures. What you need to do is simply either download the picture or copy the direct link URL and paste it into the browser window's address line and that will take you straight to the picture. Sorry for the extra work to see these... but likely I screwed up or imageshack altered their settings again.

Okay, I'm gonna upload the pictures again to photobucket. Imageshack deleting all pictures in accounts that didn't jump onto the paid subscription was really a dick move. I had problems with photobucket in the past when they suddenly fucked up the accounts, so I lost everything there... and then having to experience losing everything from imageshack too... basically killed all my images on this forum. I don't trust photobucket anymore... but at least it provides a basic service.

Besides Imageshack and Photobucket I also had issues with Webshots, again because they wanted paid subscriptions for the accounts. :(

I've switched from photobucket to flickr for photo sharing. 1000Gb free storage, faster, better cross-platform support, more options. But a big unknown is what Verizon will do with flickr since they're buying Yahoo.

Well, not too surprisingly, the 1000Gb of free storage on flickr was merely bait to reel us in. With the free plan, starting January 2019, you can have a maximum of 1000 pictures. Any more than that you have previously uploaded will be deleted. Am I surprised? Nope.
