They say it's still in the works. If they put it out I'll purchase one. With them getting involved with Sideshow maybe, just maybe it's a step in the right direction. Just don't mention EFX to anyone waiting on a bikerscout lid...
Personally I went with a LoneWolf BS and am having Artisan FX paint her up for me...

Absolutely, the FPH2 is one of the most popular Fett helmets out there.

Have anybody heard anything what's now with the efx hero helmet?
Will they offer anything they anounced for about 3 years ago?

No Trooper, No Fett, No Scout, No Y Wing.
Just cheap Vader plastic helmets.

As someone on rebelscum used to say :
EFX = Extremely Frustrating Xperience

The only ones who still have this stuff are Gino and Art.
Honi soit qui mal y pense. . :rolleyes

I think EFX will release this helmet by the time Star Wars Episode XX hits the theaters. :wtf

I don't know what point this thing will ever be released, but I was witness to the machining of the ears prototypes/masters for China to replicate this past year. Supposedly it's still happening... at EFX pace...

I think they are using the PCR helmets to bolster their economy, as I still think it was left fairly devastated by the Vader dome smudge issue and replacements. I hope they get things working again so they can speed things up a bit and get out of the slump they seem to be in. And communication is key, hopefully they'll learn to fix that too, as people are more forgiving when they are kept updated, even if there are delays.

Thanks scottjua for the information on the ears, it's nice to know that stuff is still going on although I would have thought it will be the paint master/painting process that will be the issue that's really tough to sort out.

Thanks

Andy

Oh I have no clue about that part...that could be another 5 years of development, but at least the masters for the ears are machined. Lol.

It will certainly be interesting to see the final product and what details they decide to remove from the master copy (like they did with Vader). A buddy of mine has seen their booths several times over the years and photographed the helmet they've put on display as the "product coming soon" and you can see where things have been altered/removed over time.

If I have the funds I'll undoubtedly line up like a good little sheep and buy one anyway, lol.

There's been very little information for some time. I'm curious as to whether they were in a position to take floquil chips in with them to ascertain matches from vintage paint or whether they'll be going straight to custom colours based on their numerous photo's; obviously they'll have been in the privileged position to photo the thing under controlled conditions. Either way Boba paint schemes are tough so it's a mountain to scale. To me the thing has value due to some lineage as there isn't much in the Boba world that has good lineage. I still want to own one.

I'm wondering if they'll do both the limited and legend version with this one as well and whether the limited will just be a clean painted version - no scuffs or scratches or blotches in the paint. Considering their Vader being priced so low, and seeing what they fetch now, do you guys think they'll keep that low price point or raise the price?

Do you really consider $800 and $1000 low prices?

I only ever saw it announced as a 'Legend' and Gino stated in 2013 that that was all that was planned. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Vader legend was pretty much the same as the limited underneath anyway; I thought I'd seen pictures of it stripped down showing that it had filler added?

It's a tough call on price because whilst the 'Legend' Vader sold quickly the limiteds were available for months after. I bought mine, new, for £450 in the end and there was still stock left. That said I think the price will be relatively high because
a). People will pay.
b). The paint work may push the price up and if it doesn't then it's still a convenient reason to give given that people will pay.
I'm thinking north of $1000 although really I'm guessing.

If they do eventually produce these and there's only one numbered version then it's simply limited regardless of what they call it. As there will undoubtedly be extensive cleanup I'm simply curious to see it from an overall size and shape perspective to guage how it stacks up against those things in existence that have some sort of decent known lineage. That effectively means the pre production 2 buck or those casts closely related and the Master Replicas. If Anovos produce something then there's another possible item with some sort of lineage. I think we can write the GMH casts out at this point in time as we already know there is a size issue and a shape issue.

I don't personally but in this case I stand by there not being a lot out there with lineage.

They only way I'd buy EFX, is:

A) if it's better than the ESB Fett I'll be getting this summer. And that has to be in terms of both casting and painting/finishing.

B) if it's sold as "ready to ship", rather than a pre-order. There's no way I'd consider waiting 2 years for the helmet to finally ship. That goes for Anovos as well.

I only have so much room designated for Fett Helmets on my shelf, and those would be for the ESB, PP2 and an "Eyes" version. :)
