The most important area to get right (in my opinion) to create that ROTJ aura which is intangiblely different to the eSB although they are so similar, is the dome placement & from what I can ascertain - the flatter lenses. Very few replicas get this accurate to create - the "look"
The TM ROTJ went close.
(Experts out there- have I got this right?)

Not an expert, but my opinion is there is something different in the ROTJ eyes that contribute to its uniqueness, giving the ROTJ eyes a more wide open look. The particular contour of the lenses, where the "bubble" is centered, depth of the eye sockets, the brow paint and highlighting contrast, and perhaps the sculpt itself. Really difficult to get good comp photos of ESB and ROTJ from same viewpoint and lighting. And because the eyes span depth from any 2D viewpoint, the curvature can appear very different from slightly different angles/distances.

So some of you guys know this already.
It has finally happened. After considerable discussion and investment CFO are able to offer up now as is casts of the GS Vader with nothing taken away. To keep the acquisition opportunity fair, there is not a privileged list so get your name down.
If you want the nearest thing most of you will ever get to an original production made Vader Helmet this is it:
A piece of cinema history from one of, if not ,the the most iconic screen character in recent memory. (sounds good,I want one  :toothy )

I met with CFO and visited their workshop in the heart of London. I must say I have never met anyone with so much enthusiasm about what they do. Their work is of the highest quality partly because they are not a factory and can focus on specific projects themselves. They are true Artisans.
Thank you to all who recommended them.
This I hope will satisfy your desire guys and girls who persuaded me take this route.

The dome is very interesting.

I'd love to see a tab comparison between the TM, TD and now this ROTJ (I can't remember if the SL had the tabs intact).

I can do this if it's ok with Thomas and Thomas. Lol

Hopefully Mark is OK if I use his photo for this question...

In looking at the detail on the GS dome - is that from the owner painting the helmet, or are those details in the original cast. If it's in the original cast, that leads to whole new set of questions... and most notably, do any of those details match up with the SL or any ANH production molds/casts?

Mark, I know I sent you an email when it arrived a few weeks ago, but thank you for offering these! My eFX Legend is back in its box and this one is now on display in my home office.

I just got my helmet yesterday. I'm beyond excited for this piece. It's very well done. All the fine details are captured. In fact, I'm studying every tiny detail on this thing. One that has me giddy is seeing some type of mottling/crackling in the paint that appears to be identical to the one found on the supposed screen-used Vader helmet in the Arnaud Grunberg Archives. I hope Mark doesn't mind me posting these detailed shots...

Nice catch. I no longer have a TM, and only found a blurry image of the original TM faintly showing what might be that detail. Can anyone confirm whether the TM has it as well? For some reason most pictures I have are photographed from the other side, or lit on the other side of the mouth.

Yeah, there's a lot of detail there, but it doesn't appear to have it. Could be one of the recast traits added, but I really wouldn't know.
