you use to be able to back in the day. then ebay stopped all that. you could contact the person who was bidding on items.
thats actually how he contacted me. back in 2008 i was bidding on an ANH helmet from a person from Spain and he contacted me....and get this. your going to laugh.. lol
he said that the helmet i was bidding on was actually a recast of his helmet and that the person was a known recaster..LMAO..and that if i wanted the best helemt available to buy directly from him. becasue the he,emt i was bidding on would actually be smaller than the one he would be selling me.

oh man. if knew then what i know now. i wish i would have just won the one from Spain..lol

No doubt. I lived 2 hours from him. He delivered on one helmet, then never sent the second. Kept telling me, oh you should get it any day.
I wish I had kept the box he sent the first one in. It had his name address and phone number.

Phil is a total rip off artist. Should be in prison for mail fraud. That's why he keeps changing his name on e-bay.

These eBay listings are also fishy because they request the buyer wait for a separate Paypal invoice. This probably voids the eBay buyer guarantee which requires that "The purchase was made with the Pay Now option or an eBay invoice"

oh man. i tell you what. if i lived only 2 hrs away from him i would be at his front door in a heart beat with the police. or maybe i would go there alone first.
i actually reported him to my local police department. the mail/on line computer fraud division. its all i really could do seems how i let so much time go by. i could have taken him to court. but with him in Cali and me clear across the country. the amout it would have cost to do all that would have cost far to much. so i took the loss.

good thing is that we keep up with this dirt bag and keep people informed about him. prevent him form ripping others off.

yup. and thats how he got me. i payed though yahoo or google or something like that. when you do that your not protected with ebay or paypal. but then again.
i kept believing his lies and that he was going to come through and ship me my items. boy was wrong to do that.

SPFX (PHIL SNAVELY) is still "anarchydesign" on ebay… out of San Bernardino, CA. Maybe he moved from Clovis, CA? Has a few items on there right now.

Yes, amazing how he is still peddling his recast wares. The guy just never gives up trying to con people. Shouldn't be hard to find out his new address especially if he bought a new house....which is public record.

Someone as shady as he might even just have a PO box in S.B. that he checks every few weeks down there...

Id actually purchased a couple helmets from his about a year or so ago on Ebay.I was unaware of his rep as I never went on forums like this one.But after I posted the helmet pics up I was quikly made aware of who I dealt with and felt damn lucky to have got what I paid for.As mentioned above he had that strange paypal invoice request,which made zero sense to me.So I paid him the regular way and he refunded my money almost instantly and requested I use the invoice he sent instead.So Im sure he'll start ripping folks again at some point.
On the flip side I did have the box with his address for a time and was able to send this info to a couple people of whom he ripped off..Somebody above mentioned Clovis county and the address I had was about 2 miles away from there according to the guy I sent it to.Also the name he was using was Robert and not Phil.But scam artist are good at changing that stuff up.Thats how they get away with it.

His real name seems to be Phil Snavely.

I was browsing some old emails to find out how much I paid for what and found my dealings with SPFX from 2005 when I was a noob and got it in the .... on ebay.
