The one that i have , have a Sideshow body, so it's taller.
But the "leather suit" begin to peel off on the arms, so you have to touch it realy carefully.
Have heard that was a big problem on the Medicom RotS Vader , still looking for a new leather suit for it.

That might be a problem with all pleather suits in the future. I have no problem with my Medi Vaders, but I guess it is important how they are displayed and where. I heard about peeling suits from people living in warm and wet environments, but I also heard for example of Captain America Premium Format suit that got rotten in the same areas.

Here's a couple of shots of my Don Post Deluxe (DP DLX) #525. It's unmodified, backward paint scheme and all! But it's held up well over the years (decades?) and remains the favorite of my collection.

Great peice & you have looked after it very well.
Nice touch with the cotton balls. They improve the appearance of the dome positioning a long way.
What's the plan with the dan laws stormy lid? An future project?

Thanks! The cotton balls are a low-tech but out-of-sight solution that sort of works.

The Laws HDPE helmet is the main hobby project I'm working on now. I'm letting the helmet dictate what it's going to look like ultimately. I'm trying to steer it, but it's the one really in control! Fortunately, the material is tough and has held up to me scraping off with a plastic putty knife my initial paint attempt. "Strong enough to deflect any bombardment."

This particular kit is made of white HDPE (other colors were offered too), so I can't give it that weathered look by chipping the paint down to the HDPE. As an option I thought I might be able to chip down to the primer, but more typically all the paint gets taken off, including the primer.

So I've embarked on creating an idealized looking helmet, not a screen-accurate weathered and chipped helmet. Which led to the discovery of a basic truth. "HDPE" and "idealized" are a difficult combination. I've had to repaint a few sections and will live with a few small paint runs. In essence it's looking more realistic than idealized the further along I get! Which isn't a bad thing. I'm thinking what I'll end up with is what a rough-and-tumble ANH helmet might look like after a fresh coat of paint.

Here's the current state. I couldn't wait to see what it looked like with the brow and green lenses:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B13YyeojRHKeLTY1QlVxUkVpRm8/edit?usp=sharing

I may create a ANH build thread topic soon at whitearmor.net. SCTrooper has a build thread for this same kit there currently.
