Hi, just wanted to mention that there seems to be an issue, 'cause I'm not getting PM notifications, even though I'm set up for that. Was wondering whether anyone else was experiencing this issue and whether it may be a glitch?

You mean the email notifications, right Carsten? They've been working fine for me, so not sure why you're having problems. :conf

Same here Carsten, seems I'm not only not getting PMs, but PMs I'm trying to send end up stuck in the "outbox" but never appear in "sent". Also threads I've subscribed to are not updating me via email.

Seems something is indeed broken and in need of repair on the forum.

Hoping someone can fix?

Cheers,
- 'guts

The problem that I had of not getting email seems to have gone away on it's own. But I am however constantly having to delete PM's that I had wanted to save to make room for more as I can only have 100 at a time.

Could this be changed? Please :cheers

Ah... pm's stay in the outbox until they are read by the recipient, but if recipient doesn't realize he/she's got a pm, then they may not check.

Contacted support, so hopefully they can do something.

Funny, cause I've had that problem too of deleting PM's because of that limit, but it never occurred to me to check if we could raise it. :lol

Just set it at 500. :thumbsup

I believe there is an option to save the pm's. But I have no clue how to open the file you download or even how to read or sort them.

With the RPF all inbound messages are actually shown in full in the e-mail notification. Is that something that could be done here as well? I know the software is not the same...

I believe the pm notification works occasionally for me now... but it's very inconsistent.

I don't believe there is anything we can do for that, but I agree it'd be a nice feature.

One possibility for the lack of emails coming through for PM's or subscribed threads is the mail service blocking email from the forum if it is receiving too much mail from the site at one time. This could explain the irregularity of what mail gets through for you guys too.

For anyone having problems receiving email notifications, what webmail domains are you using? (like yahoo, gmail, or whatever)

Still not getting notifications with every pm. I get for some, oddly enough... so there's definitely a glitch in the system.

Well support is looking into it.

The explanation they gave about the mail service blocking the mail from the site makes sense to me though. I have that same problem too, not with this site but others, where if I keep getting the same email notification over and over again in a short amount of time, I end up not receiving any email from the site. The emails don't end up in a spam filter or anything like that, they just never show up at all.

Just one theory for now, but hopefully support can do something on their end to fix it.
