The lighting does obscure some facial details, but what do you think the problems are -- the costume underneath the robes?

I would have preferred seeing the costume of Crimson Empire:

The Red gloves is a problem - no idea why they are red.
Also the red sash/belt. Also not sure about the black boots (although it certainly beats the red ones on the GG statue)

As for Crimson Empire costume... errr No thanks. Would have suck rubbish in my focus - the above is fairly close to being film accurate

Very good eye! They should be that maroon color or somewhat closer to that.
That pose is really throwing me off.. looks like he's spear fishing?!?!?! :rolleyes

I’m glad they decided to change the paint scheme to make it more accurate. For some reason I like the pose, probably because I’ve always been a big fan of the Royal Guard. Maybe one day I’ll pick one of these up to display.
