BTW, I don't know who made it.
It's not one of the bigger names out there though...

You painted all the "decal" areas by hand? Cool.

Is it a fiberglass or plastic construction?

Man... you gotta give some more descriptions on what you did! :thumbsup

It's a plastic helmet. Thick and sturdy plastic too.
Yep, all the decal areas were done by hand except the blue stripes. (just in case I get into a Mr. No Stripes mood, I can take them off :lol )

I used Humbrol grey #5 for all the grey areas (teeth, trapezoids ect...) and Humbrol glossy black #21 for the black outlines and stripes. I forget what I used for the vocoder, but it was a duller black. The white was just some glossy white paint I picked up at an auto store.

I first painted the black outlines making sure the outter edges were smooth and even, then filled it in with the gray. For the black stripes, I just kept a steady hand while painting.

It looks sloppier than decals, but tons better IMO.

Thanks all!

Yeah, I don't know who made it. A friend hooked me up with this helmet. It really is beautiful too.

The mesh is there, it's just almost impossible to see. :lol
(I might replace the mic tips at some point)

You sure that's not a GINO?

I see some bumps and a softer rear ridge line under the trapezoids.

I don't know much about trooper helmets, but I would be very happy if one that looked half that good came my way. Good job!
