I'm probably going to replace the decals. They're a bit too small and silver.

I got a little lazy in the back, and didn't completely fix the seam line from the mold.

Fun project....

Fetty,

It's sweet! So tell us: did you get this kit in raw form, or did the Sarge work on it for you?

Please elaborate on any work you've done. We'd love to hear!

As I understand it, this is a recast of a Don Post TIE Pilot. IMHO it's a great helmet.

Thanks all!

Yep, I got it as a raw kit.

Really simple and fun project.

Cutting out the eyes and hose parts were no problem. I only needed to use this small sanding bit for the dremel. The edges also needed to be slightly trimmed too. Some people lined the inside with fiberglass, but I didn't really see the need. Whatever this new resin is he's using, it's very sturdy.

I got the lenses from someone on the RPF. The ear greeblies I made out of some washers. They look very good too.

That would be natural, as that is the source. (The master of the DP DLX helmets, not a copy of a DP DLX, iirc.)

Yeah i hope he does get the DP master for the scout its one of those helmets thats been overlooked really for some reason.
The MLC is nice but far from screen accurate the Altmanns is pretty much spot on but the price is extortionate if you can find one.
The DP delux from what i have seen in pictures looks like a winner to me and the prices SgtFang knocks his kits out for is a real bargain.

Back on topic any thoughts about doing one of the cockpit paint schemes on this DF ?

I was thinking of this one......

I like the grey highlights and the sliced icon.

BTW, I'm really hoping he does a Scout Trooper too, considering his prices.
