So the Den keeps going a bit silent every now and again. Specially this section. So I thought I'd share this one with my Den friends. Now I know this particular casting has been a bit controversial and we all have our opinions about the casting and the owner of the original. I Dont really want to discuss anything that has to do with the individual or the distribution of the TD. My only intention is to share with you all what I had suspected since the first time I saw the casting and read all the threads ( top to bottom). The TD is meant to be an ESB.

The Dome is a TM dome that I reshaped a bit ( and that need a clean up from my dirty fingerprints all over it. Only noticed after the pictures were already taken).

Now never mind the mess around it and enjoy the images. :D

That is a thing of beauty!! It's surprising how well it matches up the the "hero"helmet.

Getting closer to the desired look I'm after with this helmet. Still working on making sure this dome retains the shape. If you look closely, you will notice some of the fiberglass I added to the inside of the dome to help it retain the shape. I still have to paint the interior of the dome to hide the color fiberglass and take care of a few little details. Either way here are some images under different lighting than the previous pictures.

This is like one of the worst ESB Helmets I've ever seen. You shouldn't suffer with that thing in your collection - such an eye sore. And being the good friend that I am, I'll reluctantly relieve of you such ocular agony. Feel free to send it to me as soon as you get it packed up...

Looks stunning, Juan -- It's amazing how well it captures the look of the Hero helmet!

It does look fantastic.

Imo I think the skirt of the dome needs to flair out more by just a hair. Both sides look pushed in.

Thanks! And yes it need just a hair more from when these pictures where taken about a month or so ago. The thing is I've done a ton of dome mods in fiberglas and from experience, they always tend to somewhat try to return to their original position ( never completely, but it tries to). So My strategy with this one was to over do it and let it naturally try to return over time and it would land on the desired shape. I'll post pitures tonight to show you how it has evolved over the past few weeks. It really is such a small amount, but when you look at these things for so long you notice every little change and they make a world of difference.

Some new images that show the slight changes to the dome skirt. From slightly different angles, between 5' and 6' distance to the camera.
