Like the title says, has anyone been able to get in touch with a Thomas recently? I haven’t heard from him since December regarding my SL that I paid for on March 10, 2017. I know of at least one other member who paid around the same time and he too hasn’t been able to reach him.

I know these things take time and I wouldn’t normally be worried, but Steve never received word to make these casts. Thomas said he was having a new mold made last summer, but I’m still not receiving any updates.

I’m not looking to cause an issue, just hoping someone can get in touch with him for me.

Thank you,

Chris

Sadly, I haven't heard from him and don't know how else to contact him but through this forum. Hopefully someone can help you guys out and I really hope everything is all right with Thomas.

I hadn't heard from Thomas in a while, so I sent him an email about a March 15th, haven't had a reply.

I'm hoping all is well with him...

I just wanted to post an update. I contacted one of Thomas’ colleagues just to ask if he would forward a message for me. He did forward my request and Thomas sent me an email with an apology and update.

His work email seems to filter out external emails, so best to contact him using his yahoo email address.

The yahoo email address is the one I always use -- still no reply.

Another two months with no contact. Has anyone else heard from him at all?

Heard that 5 guys are waiting since months/years for their SL casts. Seems like another one turned over to the Dark Side of Prop makers. This Hobby is full of criminals.

Wish the person who was pulling the casts would finish those helmets. But if he hasn't been paid for his work, it's understandable why he hasn't/isn't finishing the work.

He was. Not sure what is going on but Steve was never contacted or paid to make the casts. Thomas mentioned looking at getting a new mold made with a new caster. That was a year ago that it was first mentioned.

The molds were prepared for shipment a few months ago. The problem is Thomas never gave an indication to where they are going. So the molds are now on standby until Thomas gives word as to who they will go to to be he new maker.

I am glad to hear some sort of update.

545 days since I paid for my SL...

545 days?!!!!

This sucks to hear. I have several thoughts of my own as to why just about every prop project seems to descend into this dynamic. Jez seems to have some good thoughts too that lead all the way up to licensed companies.

Just awful.

Part of it is that folk are so euphoric at the beginning of the project they do not realize how much actual work goes into creating a good piece.

And when the euphoria dies there is no amount of money that can solve "burn out."

Not saying this is the case here but when money comes in for projects it needs to stay with the projects. People start making improvements to their lives and paying bills which is unacceptable. Some may argue against that, but it is unacceptable until all orders are fulfilled - not one gas bill, meal, rent check, or smile. And it is realistic to expect this.

This goes for Anovos and Efx too.

Just a quick update. 692 days since I paid for my helmet. Getting close to the 2 year mark and I’m getting radio silence again.

Does anyone talk to Thomas?
