Than the Scout helmet which RS owned was a real steal compared to this one.

Hope RS bought the tie pilot. Only 180 helmets to make to break even... plus a few more to cover labour & materials ...
Under a business proposition like this you might be able to get the wifey to agree :toothy

RS already have a TIE from authentic LFL source. They even have access to an accurate TIE face, but opted to use their own helmet face. So them getting this one seems rather redundant, other than to get access to the lenses, which I actually think their source helmet also had.

Thanks for the info. Did they acquire a real helmet to cast the top from? Or was that from the lfl source?
I wish they used the accurate tie face rather than their stunt trooper. There is subtle differences between th two that make a difference.

I love the RS Tie but the source isn't as good as this would yield. I don't think they would have bought it but fingers crossed I guess.

Wow! My Classic Action TIE fighter helmet must be worth a lot too then. Right? I gotta say I do like how the PropStore lists these items. Lots of detailed photos from a variety of angles and backlighting. Same done for the Baker mold Vader Promo helmet and the Stormtrooper MkII.

I oh so wish I had won the T2 endoskeleton chest piece from that auction, though.
