Oh! I think I was the one who mentioned Dupli-color. I was just a kid and not around for the film shoots but at ILM I saw two Vader helmets restored with the Duplicolor cans and they looked just great.

This one here I did was with Duplicolor (kind of an ROTJ face with ANH dome but whatever)

Great job...your helmet looks very nice! :thumbsup

What Colorcode from Duplicolor did you used for the gray highlights?I´m testing some paints for my Revealproject so this one could be the right one.

I I just want to say how much I truely dig that helmet in the first two attahments. It has a near real deal look to it, but captures elements of all three original versions (ANH,ESB,ROTJ) of Vader's helmet. A quintesential dream helmet. JUST AWSOME! Keep up the great work, DJ!

p.s. nothing wrong with the helmet in attachment 3 either. Awsome ANH.

Just read through this thread, and you really live up to the name "Obsession". :lol

The final result is excellent, and you have to be giddy with it in the end. It's a true labor of love.

My only critique in this...please don't use funky font colors when you type. The colors are vibrating on my screen and it's making my eyes bug out. :cheers

Yes. Thank you. A nearly 40 year obsession.

p.s. you don't like my colors? :cry2 Are you sure it 's not just time for a new
monitor? I gotta do my colors.

First off DarthObsession I want to say GREAT job on this mod. What a job on all levels. After doing nothing more than reading the thread,Im exhausted.I havnt even gotten around to painting my SPFX Vader yet..With that said,if you wanted a ROTJ helmet,Im curious as to why you didnt just sell your ANH SPFX and buy the ROTJ SPFX?The ROTJ SPFX is actually a very clean cast and quite good.At least to my eye.See pics..

Darth Obsession,
excellent work! It really shows how much paint manufacturing has changed! Who would have thought that that 40yrs after Star Wars you could get a can of spray paint from autozone that was even close to a Rolls Royce color. Kinda cool!
