Where did you get your Hammonds from? We're these the 1550C's?

I thought I was gonna wait a little longer to post this update since I've got some upgrades coming in for this display and my 2nd display is complete( but without a mannequin).

Finally the display has a ROTJ helmet and what an awesome helmet it is. Many of you have already seen this helmet documented here in the Den as it is David's magnificently reworked DP DLX. This was one helmet I fell in love with from the first time I saw Dave's pictures, and specially after seeing all the love and attention to detail that he put in to this piece. This display will it's home for now as there are two ROTJ helmet candidates that will most likely go on the display once in my possession. However this helmet is one that for sure will remain displayed in my collection.

Speaking of upgrades, there is one huge upgrade that should be here any day now. I'm finally switching the cape and robe to a more accurate wool set. Once the cape /robe set and the upcoming helmets are installed, I am not very sure what other upgrades could be done. Either way I gotta say I am very happy with the way this display has come together. Thank you to all that have helped me along the way, directly and indirectly.

Thanks! yeah, Dave really did an amazing job!

For the capes I've got two sets coming from Custom Props ( and ESB and a ROTJ) to serve as placeholder while I wait to get on Kev's list. Which from what I understand will not open again until late fall, and then once you are on the list it is yet another long wait for them to be finished. Since I've been reading about the improvements that CP has made I thought I'd give it a shot.

Killer display, Juan. I love how it's come together - can't wait to see those last little minor tweaks.

...and that Dave guy, he's a genius.

The DCDPDLX (as I've nicknamed it) does look great with this full costume. I think the ideal number of Vader helmets for an avid collector is always one more than he currently owns. :toothy

I think you can upgrade your chest box straps, leather straps would be nice

Indeed you are correct! I forgot to mention those since they will be ordered from Kev once his list opens for cape sets and straps. I have been looking around for options in case something shows up before then, but I can never find an appropriate solution. If you know where I could find leather chest box straps, I would be eternally greatful :D

And Finally the wool cape and robe are here ( the ROTJ at least) and I have to say the difference is unbelievable. The weight, how it drapes and just the over all look really makes a big difference. Here is a quick shot. I take better ones later and share with you all.

Really cool display Juan. I may have missed it but what source is your shoulder/chest armour? And what paint did you use for the gunmetal?

Everthing fits like a glove. You hit the nail on top for the correct Jedi look.
Well done. :thumbsup
