Is Ron Punter's ESB mask a screen used mask? I'm not familiar with this one.

The search for a more accurate looking mask :thumbsup

But isn't that less accurate since they rounded out the brow? Definitely Looks to the EFX PCR to be a much better choice than this lid....

I saw the anovos Vader helmet at Disney World in Florida last month and it looked like a bad Don Post Deluxe cast. The chest box is plastic and unpainted, and looked a lot like a Rubies chest box. The rods on the chest box are a two piece design just like the ones Potumac made
(I don't know if his are still that way). The chest armor looked very small like an old Galaxy Trading set. The buckles does not have any cut out deep lines, they are barely engraved and then painted to look like they're cut out. The belt boxes are made from a different material (felt like metal) than the armor or chest box so none of the colors or textures match. The suit lines were barely visible. The gloves were not even a Vader style glove. Hopefully they have made so changes since that Vader costume was put on display.

More accurate than a thinner brow.

The first official fan pics of the Anovos Vader bucket are out.

I put this little comparison together for those who want to shred.

All things considered, it's not awful. In fact, I'm pleasantly surprised.

Pleasantly surprised? If it's the helmet on the right it looks aweful !

In that comparison that's a TM, meditation chamber and Anovos?

With standards here for accuracy being measured in mm and minutes of a degree, I would agree it looks awful. For those not so particular it's not bad, and in terms of price per pound (7 lbs) it's a good deal.

Well, if it makes someone happy and they enjoy it, that is awesome.
Have to agree with Fatherless here, that pic from the comparison looks bad. That TM though..Dayum.
You'd be better off buying the PCR and altering the brow and repainting it if you're trying to save some $$$.

Yes pleasantly surprised.

I'm not looking at this as an "authentic" cast - that would be foolish. I'm giving Anovos the benefit of the doubt, considering it's mass produced in China and will be (allegedly) available for the (ahem) "masses". It's better than anything you can get at Target or Walmart, and you don't have to try to hard to find it. Boom! There it is.

If someone were willing to spend more time and energy, they'd run into a slew of other options. ..Moi comes to mind.

Did Anovos ever say where the helmet originated from? It looks like maybe one of the Rubies deluxe helmets that were made from the left over Don Post Deluxe molds. To me it looks like a suprised Vader getting his first prostate exam!

The Vader standards have improved a lot over the last ten years, the Anovos looks like a Rubies or at best a DP DLX.

There are better fan-mades they could have decided to mass produced, and selling for less.

But true, the everyday non-educacated Star Wars fan may want one.

I wasn't having a dig at you by the way Craig :cheers

The face mask has clear Fyberdyne/Jeff/GH style characteristics. It is very clear that it originates from a casting from that family line.
