I suggest we move this thread to the Vader section. Here's just a few quick ones, sorry for the crappy analysis, I haven't slept since yesterday. There's a few more areas that match the actual screenused , but these are just a few more:

I'd love to see more of the faceplate. Hell I'll even take a trip to France if I have to.

The position of the detail along the mouth edge may appear to be in a different spot, but I believe, based on matching it up to other photos, that it's in the same spot and only appears that way based on the angles of the photos.

I never believed the ANH Vader stuff was converted. I KNEW it was still out there. But where's the rest? Here's the mask but what about the helmet? And most importantly, who has the ANH codpiece?! LOL

I don't think there is shown everything in that short movie. The whole collection is unbelievable...not only SW. You can see a dome next to the mask or plaster cast but who knows what kind of dome that is....certainly also production or screen used stuff.

You're welcome Dave. The real thanks goes to Nairod for showing us the links. Man, this is HUGE news in the Vader community. I know vader talk has been dead for a long time, but this is awesome stuff. I saw that dome on a faceplate in the video and I'm wondering if it is the same faceplate, if in fact, it also has the original dome. Unfortunately the news guys showing off the stuff are sort of ho-hum about it. Oh here's this and here's that. The collector himself doesn't even realize how huge it is that he has that faceplate other than perhaps from a monetary view. He needs to loan that stuff out on tour or something for all to see. That would easily sell for about $2 million if he ever auctioned that thing off.

Steve, yeah I was hoping it hadn't been converted. Nothing that had been shown proved to me that it had, but since it hadn't surfaced I was concerned, lol. Yeah the cod would be nice and the gloves, lol. I'd love to know the actual material of the cape and robe and get a pattern off those suckers. I wish they had shown a pic of the rear of the helmet.

Anyone know how to reach these guys? If it's possible to visit their studio and check out that faceplate? I'd definitely book a flight to France to see it. Better get my passport renewed, just in case. :lol :lol

edit:

Just noticed they have another full helmet and faceplate that wasn't shown:

This link may interst some of you:

http://www.sciencefictionarchives.com/e ... ollections (same site but in english).

It's possible to contact M. GIROD who is the Exhibition Director (funny thing, their head office is only at 20 min to my home ^^ ....unfortunately, not the collection).

If someone want to create an exhibition, you can "rent" some of the collection.

OH MY GOD... I don't believe it, but the evidence presented is pretty overwhelming.

Uploaded the pictures to photobucket as I had to remove them from Imgur. And yes... I'm still not over what Photobucket pulled a few years back, but I haven't found anything better yet.

And the plaster cast:

If topic starter is okay with it I can move it to the screen used Vader section.

True but rentals can be quite costly- depending on the exhibit size, distance away and length of time they would be on display, *could* be as much as a very nice car or a house and has to be insured as well as meet other exhibition requirements by the loaner.

Carsten- Thanks for the screen shots! :thumbsup

Now there's something you don't see every day.... :lol Thanks for sharing Nairod :thumbsup

This would be THE prop find of the century, period...IF it turns out to be genuine and I'm not just talking about the ANH facemask.
Every holy grail of almost every classic blockbuster, all in one huge collection... Sounds too good to be true, doesn't it..? Well, it sure raises some red flags for me.
It looks genuine, I give you that, but it's easy to get carried away (especially for the kind of uber-nerds we are :lol ) But we also know that there are a LOT of damn good fakes out there, so we need to be very cautious.
Let it be clear and let there be no doubt about it, I would like it to be the real deal and I would like it to be true. It would be THE find of finds, but it takes more than just a video and some screen-grabs to convince me of its authenticity.

Well, at least we'll have something new to discuss and to disagree about... :toothy :lol

Btw: Is there any way we can get in contact with this collector and ask him to get over here, on The Den?

I just hope he won't think of us as a hive of scum and villainy.

Sorry... couldn't resist.

Honestly, if this is the real deal and the evidence so for is definitely more than compelling, this is really cool. Maybe we should start comparing this to the Chronicle pictures?
