So check this video! (sorry, it's in french)

https://youtu.be/GRzmayjpc1k?list=FL5aJF0lUHEzeNnKusrqUDNw

Not only Star Wars, lots of SF props.

Just for exemple: Vader master face mask, C 3PO, TIE Pilot, Biker Scout helmet, Stormtrooper ANH Hero (just to remind you, only six made), and many others cool stuff.

I don't understand much French, but that Vader face mask IS the "plaster cast" that was sold on eBay many, many years ago. The damage line up with the old eBay pictures.

A few pictures of the cast. Included an image of the one sold on eBay and it's a definite match.

As explained in the video, the collector started his collection at the end of 70's, and more during the 80's.

The other person, Patrice Girod, was the director of the Lucasfilm Magazine (the Star Wars Insider in France). He's one of our "specialist" of Star Wars in France.

Another cool link related: http://www.sciencefictionarchives.com/f ... ars?page=1

And this other video with a fast view of a Vader's mask and ESB stormtrooper (which looks in a "perfect" condition for a "screen used" prop....)

Watch from 0.15 to 1.07

Seems like another guy with too many millions on his bank account and a propstore "golden store card" .
Well, if he not can offer any casts of this stuff, he can go away with his super duper collection, as there will grow enviousness in my eyes :chase

If i currently look to all the raising prices for real found parts, Star wars seem to become more and more a hobby for millionaires.
Real Graflex meanwhile get sold on ebay for 900 USD. ....

You forgot the fact that this guy starts collecting screen used props during a time where the studios throw that stuff in the garbage
I think he didn't pay that much as anyone here would expect.

I don't see why he should offer any casts. Most screen used collectors do not agree with the prop hobby regarding casts from screen or production used. Though I would love to see more pictures of his collection. Especially the Star Wars stuff.

Right Darth Niob :thumbsup

Many of these pieces came directly from studios, collectors, crew members, etc... many times before it was a "mass" hobby!

They try to make some exhibtions and would like to make a kind of museum, but it seems that it's not as easy as we could think.

They published a book: http://www.amazon.fr/G%C3%A9n%C3%A9rati ... rice+Girod

As for the Vader's mask in the second video, they claim that it's an original from ANH.

As you can see on the link science fiction archives, all the props aren't present and some replicas are listed (Don Post life size C 3PO for exemple), but on the video we clearly see an original helmet and some parts. Many of these pieces are original (what they claim for).

For sure, the Hero stormtrooper helmet is an original.

Today, if you have to be more fortunate than lucky to get an original prop. Remember the original (or pre production) TIE pilot helmet : original-production-made-tie-pilot-helmet-vt4624.html

The owner was more lucky than fortunate ^^

They fucking have it!!! That's great to know the original wasn't converted. Forgive the crude comp, I was so excited to see it well preserved. There are a few more tells, but gents, that is the original.
