Exactly. That's why I said one can't say the original ANH is not in the archives. May be it's there, hidden under a ESB. :banger

Great pics! 2 different gunmetal paint for the helmets.
That jacket is too small for Vader...

Would say they are clear white.
The yellow tint could come from the padding.
:chase

It could also be from age. Doesn't that clear stuff tend to yellow with age?

Is the helmet Brandon is holding a ROTJ stunt? I'd never seen the back of a production mask that looked like that.

The construction vaguely resembles my DPCA mask:

Ha! it kind of does almost in that shot! The yellow foam strips glued to the outside of the head at the back have been painted grey on their outer surfaces presumably to make them less visible with the dome in place. (Yes, that's an ROTJ stunt).

Yes, that's the "fat-lipped" ROTJ stunt faceplate, which got a lot of screentime during the end of ROTJ (Emperor's throne room set).

I just finished reading Brandon's book and I must say I like it a lot, although I didn't learn more about the Vader costumes ;) I was wondering if there is some kind of inventory list existing at LFL archives which contains all Vader helmets and costume components (originals and tour costumes) that are either stored in the archives or out on tour or exhibition.

Sorry for the ignorance, but: what you mean with "fat-lipped" ROTJ helmet? Can you post a pic of this detail? Thanks! :pale
