Oh, the one in the top post isn't mine. Just a picture I found somewhere.

This is how my cast looked when I received it - with an 18th scale Roostercat head in comparison. They come unpainted and I sold mine the way I received it.

I have since then sold the two painted pieces, bought a new baby raptor kit I'll assemble and paint myself, as well as having just recently bought the full scale Raptor bust mold (minus lower jaw, teeth and tongue).

(will update the last of the pictures soon. Just concentrated on the pictures in the first post for today).

Building on my fascination with molds. One half of the Raptor bust mold.

Got the second half today. Man... how am I ever going to store this beast?

I'm going to make a cast for myself and finish it similarly to the one I owned before, but this time working out how to make the stand to hold it upright - saw a nice one on a prop site with someone owning one of these. Think I'll copy that. The question then will be where to put it in my wee apartment... there's barely any space left and it will be too heavy to make a shelf for it... unless I make it really light. Any thoughts on good lightweight casting materials, as resin and expansion foam on the last one was just too heavy. Would expansion foam for the whole thing without an outer skin of another material be an option or are there lighter resins than the regular yellow one? Any thoughts?

Example of how to mount the bust.

Anyone know if you can use papier-mâché in a mold like this. Was thinking of making one for my nephew to play with and resin is just too heavy and fiberglass is not an option. I was thinking of laying down a layer of papier-mâché, then some chicken fence wire, then seal it with another layer. Is that an option in a mold like this without damaging it?

Seems they bring it back to life... also as it sounds like a Alien/Predator Hybrid what ever thing.

Yeah, I was like "cool" up until they mentioned a hybrid monster being created and everything just went downhill from there. All the bits of the park actually being up and running was cool and I wish they'd stop making stupid chase and monsters chomping on people movies and just do a cool JURASSIC PARK movie and show the freaking park working and showing DINOSAURS being animals and not monsters - even though they are cloned genetically engineered fabrications. I want the awe and wonder back that we got a little bit of in the first movie but completely lacked in the sequels. These are freaking DINOSAURS. What's more awesome than that?
