Hello to all of the Vader enthusiasts and experts here. I've been putting together my ROTJ Vader for close to two years over on the SLD forum for the 501st and finally have it to a point where I think it's worthy of showing on this board. I haven't formally posted here before but I've learned a lot of great information here as I slowly improved and perfected my build. I'm calling this my V2, because I've upgraded so many parts and details at this point. Anyway, for those of you over on the SLD you've seen this all before but I know there are a lot of really knowledgeable Vader folks outside the 501st here so I thought I'd share, everybody loves pics right?. Here's some detail shots of the major parts.

My helmet and armor:

With cape (which I recently upgraded and improved the collar, hooks and positioning):

Continued...

Since I do troop in this outfit I guess my physical stature is important too. I'm just over 6'3" so I use a 1 inch internal lift along with the standard heel on my boot to get to just about 6'6" without the helmet. Then the helmet adds another inch to get me to 6'7" fully geared up. I'm a bit of a gym rat, while not as big as Prowse, but I do fill the costume out naturally except for a little padding in the shoulder bells to fill out the ROTJ silhouette properly. Anyways, hope you enjoy...

Thanks for looking.

That is a pretty impressive looking getup and you look great in costume. Nice touch with the Yoda face on a stick.

Very nice! :cheers

Awesome helmet & mask display, it's something to be admired on its own. (Darth stone- great craftmanship!)
Aren't you afraid of scuffing it when out busting wookies?
You definitely look the part, well done
Great photos, thanks for sharing

Thanks gentlemen.

I made the display piece for my office, couldn't resist having Vader over my shoulder all the time (it's a new way to motivate myself LOL). It's just some PVC pipe, padding and an old faux leather suit but it works. Now I can admire Stone's awesome pieces all day long.

Recently did several upgrades to my costume and wanted to share here.

I got a new Kev Vader cape set and did some modifications to the collar and pleats. I also have a new custom bodysuit from Fenix, with the "V" section added to the vest (see this thread: rotj-vader-bodysuit-details-vt4754.html)

I'm affectionately calling this version 3 of my costume since I've been upgrading for a few years now.

And these are based on the throne room scene to show the pleating in the robe:
