I bought this a few years ago. It came assembled, and I had planned on making a Sandtrooper helmet. The years have gone by, I no longer remember who I bought this from and I am not sure I have an interest in a Sandtrooper. That being said I have no idea what version this helmet is. If there is such a thing as a version. I think this may be a ANH styled helmet, but I am not sure. Anyhoo...any help, information, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

If this post is in the wrong area I apologize.

Steve

By looking it here at work seems quite soft. What is it made of: ABS, fiberglass, PVC, HDPE?

It's defiantly a very poor recast of some shape or form. The whole definition of the lid is very soft indeed.

It's based on a hero lid though seeing the 6 teeth but its hard to tell where it originated from seeing as the pull isn't great.

Looks like an MFX helmet to me.
2-3 mm ABS?

Definitely a recast. Therefore pretty much impossible to tell the source, unless someone knows the exact recaster who did it.

My first thought was an early RT-Mod, but it doesn't really appear to be one of those and I always thought the MFX helmets were a little sharper than that.

Thanks for the info....a bit disheartening....but I think I can get it looking presentable. I do remember that I bought it from someone on the RPF....I do not think it was part of a run or anything like that. It is a decent thickness. I'll post progress pics when I start working on it.

As a Sandtrooper helmet you might cover up some of its visible flaws. Or make it Death Trooper :toothy
