Ok, so they had the same paint but thanks to the lightning it looked darker?

Yes. When some actual prop photos surfaced, it was evident that the paint used was not as dark as previously thought.

I got my hands of a lot of faux lether a while ago, so i will try to do the leather suit and the codpiece.
I started out with the codpiece, i spendt about 2 hours on it, so it doesnt matter if you thinks its bad. :lol

I had a little problem with the hole in the codpiese, if the hole should be deep or shallow. Fanmade usually have a deep hole, but in the movies it looks shallow.

Thanks CSMacLaren :thumbsup

This is maby my last update on the rubies helmet, im quite happy with it right now.

Whats new:

I have painted the mouth grill in the face mask silver.
Tusks and lenses from fenix props.
Resculpt of the browline and center strip on the dome.
Repaint of the dome.

I got the "wet look" on the front of the dome, but i have spots on the sides that are rough, i will look it up if i can fix it with some sanding and polish.

Sorry about the bad pictures, bad camera and light :rolleyes

Thanks,

I cut the dome mount in half so i could move the dome to the correct position, so its fine for display now, but if i want to wear the helmet i have to rebuild the mount a little.
