I`ve had that Bently O`tool idiot try to buy a couple of TK helmets of me before but I would never deal with him no matter how much he offered. He is a huge recaster over here(probably the biggest) and total asshole. He always has various movie recast items on ebay. It`s a pitty more people didin`t know about him.At least this may get the word spread a bit more.

Sorry to hear the TM is recast. :pale

If I remember well, he contacted me on ebay after seeing one of my sales. He told me that he really liked the helmet listed, if I would agree for a trade and showed me some of his productions (Predator, Battlestar, Terminator, C 3PO, some other things and the Vader).

I've sold the helmet listed but I showed him another one which I worked on. He wanted it finished since he really liked the way I made (finished) the helmets.

It seems that he followed my sales on ebay (not a lot) since a "long" time.

I don't remember exactly all the details of the discussion, but it was an exchange of a few emails (ebay "messenger"). It has been quick.

For sure, today I wouldn't make trades like that.

What about the dome mechanism? Was there any ring within the dome or did it came with the screw mechanism? Was the paintjob totally finished?
Also it would be cool if there is any member here who got on of the TM ROTJ casts or just domes which were sold beside the official run because the mold maker send them instead of TM ESB casts. There are a few out there and i would like to hear some names because that could help to clear the situation. There is no need to keep it secret since it the fault of the mold maker and not the customer.

Paintjob finished (but not enough gloss to me) and no ring inside the dome. I quickly fixed the screw with hot glue (I know, it's a really poor solution that I made).

As I don´t know were my first answear I sent yesterday is gone I would repeat that my helmet is still in my position and also will be here for ever.

On a sidenote DIV also tryed this not received number with me about 3 years ago for a full set of Reinone Vader cape/robe set and some other Vader related items. He also started the war with me over at the RPF which was the reason that I asked myself to get banned there as I was not willing to be at the RPF any longer for sure.

But for me another point also would be very important as at that point were the first run was made 3 years ago Jesper told us that it would be an absolutly exclusive run of 10 not more or less of these helmets would ever see the daylight! So I´m not very often online in the last year but I´m also not feeling very comfortable with the situation that now 3 years later would be produced again 5 of these helmets as this would make the number higher and the exclusivity down of this helmet my 2 cents.

Greetings Guido

Thats right. It was planed to make only 10, but there was interest in getting some more cast before the mold collapsed cause of age and not every cast will come to a new owner. I have ordered two myself . The second one as a backup. So beside this recasting crap its still one of the lowest number runs ever. I think only the SL has less than 15 casts made, so the exclusivity of the TM ROTJ is still unbroken.

There are far fewer TD ANHs in private hands (four plus my own copy), but I don't think 10 vs 15 vs 20 makes a big difference in runs that small. Plus the TM ROTJ is a modified TM ESB and there are also TM ANHs, so there are quite a few TMs out there. Incidentally, I recall there were also very few GH ROTJs.

I almost bought from him a few years ago before realizing who he was. He was selling several recast Jango "screen cast" helmets. No idea how he gets ahold of these things.

I'm pretty sure that he's worked in film and has credits. So I'd assume that he has contacts for stuff, but I'd say that they have no idea that he's recasting and selling them.

Cheers,

Kraig
