I'm a Dalek owner.

I built mine over a 14 month period. I call him Nimrod and he's used for charity fund raising. He runs on wheelchair motors, has the voice modulator buil-in so I can talk to people at events in the Dalek voice (yes, I get inside him and trundle about) and he has a water sprayer that has a range of about 10 meters.
He's mostly MDF and Fibre Glass.

Anyway, here he is...

I have two full sized Daleks. Both built from scratch by myself, using the plans and forum www.projectdalek.com

One is a 1964 style, the other being the 2005 style.
Both regularly appear at events like" Memorabilia " here in the U.K.

Wow, awesome shots! Looks like Jabba is sticking his tongue out at the Dalek blocking his view! :toothy

Smallfish ..Daleks take up a staggeringly large area , and dont fit through standard sized doors. Good luck when yours arrives...

I have to put mine to work to pay for their keep.

Yep, Daleks are a lot bigger than people think. (that's a ruddy big garden Gnome you've got there Rob :lol )

Even this little fella will be nearly three feet high when he's finished - he's build to half size.

It's a WIP that I'm playing with that's going to have more than a little of the Sith about him.
This is the gun I've designed for him (this version is full sized - build a proof of concept)

He's still not got a neck section. The rest of the design will follow the 'guts on the outside' idea and the paint job is going to be based on Slave I. It's taken nearly 2 years to get to this stage. Eventually, I plan on making him radio controlled but the shoulders are getting so heavy that I'll have to cast them in GRP in order to lighten the load for any motors I buy.
