I got my Royal Guard and Biker Scout statues yesterday. The Guard is very cool (haven't opened the Scout yet), but unfortunately, it's not my favorite, even though it was supposed to be. I got the Boba Fett Statue a couple days ago, and it is nothing short of fantastic. It's definitely the best thing in my collection right now.

Yes the boba is great, but the best statue from gentle giant i got a few days ago..the Rancor. Fantastic details and so huge and heavy...really awesome.

NHM. Congratulations, too. The Maul bust looks unbelievable. If i had the money i would order it, too. Although the Yoda bust looks fantastic, too.

He guys, found something new from gentle giant. Looks interesting, too. Your opinions please.

Jabbas great, but the look of the Sideshow 12" is more screenlike. But the Sy Snootles Band looks really cool.

Yeah, the GG Jabba definitely needs a face-job... and what's with Oola? She doesn't look like herself, from what I can see...

Thanks guys. :cheers

Yes, you're right. The pictures is a little bit small, but she seems to look very asiatic and the colour of her skin is not perfect also, although i like the jawa and the look of the throne. But the look of the band is great, very screenlike.

I though that too.

I agree we need better pics, but no one has been allowed to take pictures of it yet.
I'm excited for this one. I've been trying to get the currently available Vader statue, but haven't been willing to pay the going rate, but this one is a must have - especially if the floor lights up!

It does.. or... at least it looks that way in some of the other pictures further down on the page.

Hopefully they'll get the helmet right this time.

Yeah, I did see the light in the pictures - they've announced 3 LOTR mini busts that light up, and there are pictures of a new Cody mini bust that lights up, and they the Chrome Vader statue lights up, so I think there's every reason to expect this statue to light up.
What's wrong with the helmet on the other one? Is it horribly inaccurate, or just inaccurate to 501st people who spend far too much time analyzing the smallest detail? :rolleyes

I'm not a 501st... I'm just a Vader enthusiast and especially like the helmet sculpt... and yes, it has been inaccurate on the ESB bust and the statue - the statue can be forgiven as it was not of any specific helmet from any specific movie - but the ESB bust had a RotJ helmet and parts of the face was mirrored and also quite soft in the details. Odd, since they had a real helmet scanned.

Hope they don't just re-use the bust helmet sculpt, but do a new one and make it better and accurate. But with what I have seen so far, I seriously doubt it, as LFL tends to meddle with the product prior to release and never for the better.

Sorry, I should have said Vader enthusiast, rather than 501st. I respect and appreciate the knowledge and attention to detail available here.
I agree with you though, I do hope they make it accurate. In the end though, unless it looks horrible, it won't affect my getting it. I need a Vader statue, and this is one of the most memorable points in the movie.

"What is thy bidding, my master?" I love that line.
