for all who are waiting for their painted casts....the first shots of the first complete finished helmet. More pics from the other casts will follow at the end of the week.

Looking nice. The dome sits a little higher than I remember it - is that caused by the dome receptor in the dome not being installed yet or something else?

Its installed Carsten, ready to display. Dont know exactly but it might differ from scene to scene.

No, I meant from the kit form to final form:

I know the kit is angled a bit more forward/downwards, but not enough to explain such a difference in dome placement.

Ah i see....misunderstood you. You are right the raw cast hasnt installed the dome receptor.

Yes a beautiful helmet...I like how the paintwork turned out. That mask just screams ROTJ.
Ya, is it possible to lower the dome a bit? It doesn't need to come down much, but it does need to come down.

Couldn't resist a comparison to that effect....look'in pretty sweet...the cat's meow....

Notice how the right side (Vader's right) of the U-shaped part of the nose matches the hero mask on the right, but not the left...was that intentional to match the mask to a particular onscreen mask? The part where the cheek halfmoon line come to meet the side of the nose....it is a complete curve on the left but shows that ANH/ESB crook on the right screencap.
