These are the first pics I'm sharing of the second ROTJ I got last week, somehow this one is a tad sharper than my first one. This one will be a Hero version with ROTJ mics, rounded matte frown, straps and hard liner. Some of this elements will be challenging to find. I will be posting pics of my progress. So far I started with the frown, I might need to twick it a little but so far I'm happy with the results.

Cheers

Hey Darth Finger, yes I'm using matte black from Humbrol, The ROTJ hero's helmets are a bit different from the background helmets not even in the way the frown and vocorder are painted(shape) also the kind of paint used on them, background helmets usually are painted in black satin(semi-gloss) very similar to the ESB helmets. I hope this help :salut

Damn, that is coming out rather nice. :thumbsup I wasn't always a big fan of the ROTJ TK look, but the more I see of it, the more I like it.

I know exactly what you mean; in a way it is like wine, you have to learn to appreciate the taste, but once you do it is completely worth it.

This ones are a tough one to get. I will post more pics soon. BTW I never consider myself a ROTJ TK fan, now I like them alot even the SE ones, I guess is matter of training your eye :cheers

I'm with you guys. I never really paid much attention to the ROTJ.

Something about it though just grows on you...could simply be that it has its own distinct look...dunno but I like it. :thumbsup

This is so far my progress with this helmet, it is taking more time that I expected originally to get done with this helmet but at leastI think is starting to look slightly better. I might replace the decals soon but they make the job for the time being. As soon as get the tips I will take new pics. The other thing that I'm thinking lately is if I should add a weathering pass las I did in my other ROTJ helmet(background) or leave it clean. What do you think about it?

Thanks
