I have been meaning to do this for a while, as I see some inaccurate terms for the props going around at times and I haven't seen this on a forum. Generally these are some of the terms that have stayed with the Vader props for a long time. There may be variences by some which is okay of course, such as the UK prop makers would call the dome a helmet and the face plate a mask etc.
The term Greebly/Greeble/greeblie are terms used to describe something unknown in the SW galaxy, the term is most used in describing parts such as on the ESB chestbox for example. I have seen many different spellings in books of this term and talking to a few people around at the time who worked on Star Wars they have little idea how to spell it consistently. In view of these little things I am sure people have their own personal take on words but I believe this to be a
brief guide to what is the correct terminology in the prop world.
Thanks to Pete (Darth Karo), I wanted to compare notes with someone and it turns out we both agreed 100% to the same terminology and he deserved to be credited with this as a joint project
