I'm still hoping that Chris can get a new run made - I really want one of those Jedi domes...

I second that emotion, Smokey Robinson. From what I read, the last VP run was beyond reasonably priced.

Smokey Robinson!

That was the thing that astounded me - the price of the VP faceplate was tiny but there was still a problem getting folks on the original run.
Bizzare.

They were probably not keen on getting just a faceplate!?

My view is always to try to get a full helmet. Much more fun.

Well most on my end wanted just a mask. Price was a bit of a concern since it was for a mask alone and it wasn't clear just how detailed the casting was. I think there was just concern since we didn't know the owner nor the source, which is perfectly understandable. Once I got the first pull there was a lot of enthusiasm because it was superior than anything else available up to that point, but after the first pull nothing happened and so after some time people lost interest. But then it started up again...

What I am most interested in is seeing the master if it is untouched?...if there is one. I'm still fond of the VP. It has some nice details here and there...crisp ones in places. There's a lot more still to learn about the VP I think...

Combined with a GH dome, you will have a great helmet for a reasonable price. I think it should be no problem to get some interested people together. Not everyone has the huge luck and/or relationships to get his hands on a TM or SL/TD

I too would be interested, depending on price of course.

Now that it seems we have a nice bit of interest going for this, the question is will those interested balk if there are delays like there were in the past?

I like the idea of a face plate and dome which has some provenance and reading the VP compare thread ( all 32 pages of it! ) my appetite is wetted. Would I mind waiting? Probably not, as it is probably my only chance to get something like this. I could dream of a TM but I don't think it will happen. Which is probably why I will stick up for Phil's SPFX. His helmet may have dubious history, but for a newb like me it was relatively easy to get and looks good enough. I can't stop looking at it. A VP would be perfect if the price was reasonable.

You can't go wrong with an SPFX - awesome helmets!
