 Post subject: T*E ESB Helmet Build

I have started my ESB helmet build, and will base it on the ESB 'Badged' helmet.

Timing is good, as have ordered the decals from Mike (TK-4510)

As you can see from the photos below, I have already primed it and have sourced a high gloss topcoat by Rust-Oleum here in the UK, so will let you know how it works!! It does state however that recoat times are within 1 hour or after 48 hours!!

Had a fly land on the lid whilst still wet, resulting in me removing ALL the paint on the cap and back and having to respray it!! <_<

That said I am now back on track. There are a few minor touch up jobs as the paint does not hold too well to the plastic, but getting there.

Will get all the hand painting bits done in time for Mike's decals to arrive!! :D

Happy with it though considering it is my first helmet paint job!

Painted the frown, ears and vocoder today B)

Did apply some krylon triple gloss, and it ran in parts but think the runs give it a more original look!!!

Just need to pinstripe the ears and wait for Mike's decals!!
