....mine is a display only so comfort isn't an issue. I'd like it to look as close to what was originally used as possible. I'm thinking just a cotton/poly blend dance skin type suit?

Thanks in advance.

I am curious about this as well. What was used in the original films? I always heard it was a diving suit or something along those lines.

A diving suit made out today's materials, which would insulate you nicely in very cold waters, might feel like torture in the Arizona desert.

I understand costumers seem to prefer Under Armor.

I bought one piece suit from http://www.spandexman.com/fantasyunitardsp2.html #308

Fit and feel is excellent, and have no problems with it.

Feel like a Mummy but walk like an Egyptian.
This style can be customized with a 16 in crotch to butt zipper.

The cotton dance unitards are nice. They don't have a sheen to them like the lycra dive skin stuff.

ok...the suit that came with my sds armor says it's from "chillcheater.com."
I think this is what I have (link below). Although mine has loops under the feet and no logo on the arm, this is the closest I could find on the website.

If this is it, it is great. very comfortable, not too tight (although I'm 5-10", 150lbs).

I use the Dick's store brand of underarmor. It's less expensive, is a darker black, no annoying white Xs all over (actually no outer brand marks at all), and a convent inside the waistband pocket that the Underarmor doesn't have.

Can't comment on wearing it...as I haven't done so yet...but I got a nice one piece spandex off ebay for around $34. Mines just on a display though.
