Hi everyone, I've lurked around here a bit but have never posted until today. I thought I'd share some pics of my new GF suit. Just picked this up in a deal from Dean Dymerski, and it sure is nice. Since I like the movie sized armor but idealized for looks, this has been my favourite for some time, so I feel really lucky to have picked this up, especially considering the condition. This armor has never been trooped in and doesn't have a scratch on it, and I must say that GF did a fantastic job. So far I've received the first box with the helmet and a few other pieces, the rest should be here tomorrow. Anyway, enough talk, here's some pics of the bucket.

Awesome! I love the GF suit. Wonder why? :lol First thing you need to do is replace the aerators with some accurate repros.

Good to see you turn into a poster rather than a lurker. Very nice

I decided today to make a PVC mannequin for my armor and use the real mannequin for my Vader display as it's a tad bigger. So here's a shot of the full suit and a couple of my office since a few people seemed interested in what else might be in here. My prop room/office is a very small room in my studio which is itself a small single wide trailer. When we discovered that our family was about to increase another digit my spacious prop room at home turned into a nursery. :)

I guess I can say that I wasn't really a lurker. I signed up a long time ago and dropped in occasionally for a while afterwards but have not been by for some time now. My friend Vaderdarth asked me the other day if I ever posted here, so I decided to check it out again, and I must say to my surprise, because there seems to be much more information on this board than...........hey, I'll just stop there. I like it here, very friendly and lots of good threads, anyway, here's some pics.

Thanks T-Virus. As for the mannequin, I just measured the different widths of my body(hips, chest, shoulders, arms, legs, etc.) and cut pvc to those measurements. The arms were made movable by making hinges for them at the shoulders and elbows using flat plates I found at the hardware store. I then padded the body to what looked to be appropriate proportions using bubble wrap secured with box tape. Total cost about $40, and I don't think I could have found a mannequin to suit my need any better, and certainly not as cheaply.

Can anyone suggest what I need to get for aerators and where or from whom I can get them? Thanks all.
