I thought as an introduction, I would post a couple of the clones I have built. I have a republic commando that I painted in the Niner style from Star Wars Insider. I also have a 501st commander (Commander Vill) that I am currently converting to a standard 501st grunt.

The unfortunate thing about clones is that if you are 6'6" tall like I am, they are a pain to get right and then you still look out of place if everyone else is 6' give or take. That is why Vader will be a breath of fresh air when it is done.

I'll post pics of my almost complete, but not 100% accurate Vader this weekend or next. I still have some tweaking to do to make it right but it will pass 501st muster for the time being I think... *fingers crossed*

Here are some pics.

The clone next to me, "Chad" (442nd clone) looks like something right out of the book...

WOAW... didn't know clones were that tall. Think they messed up in the cloning process.

Damn... that's some nice looking outfits. :thumbsup

Thanks for the compliments.

Both helmets are OSCS. The 442nd clone is wearing the R2V7/Atin armor and I am wearing the JavaMonkey kit.

The RC helmet and kit are Polymer Armory.

The running joke that day to explain our height was that we were left in the cloning vat too long. :)

That is the tough part of clone/stormtrooper costuming. At least with Vader, being 6'6" tall won't feel out of place.
