The helmet looks good. Is ist the same size as SDS or a real one? What is it made of? Kind regards, Jörg

The MR is approximately the same size as the SDS, however the faceplate on the MR seems slightly smaller than the SDS which I believe was done to accomodate the manufacturing process. IMO the SDS is closer if not exactly the same size as a screenused helmet.

My understanding is that the MR Stormtrooper Helmet is made of fiberglass while the SDS Helmet is made of 2.5 mm HIPS plastic and the screenused helmets were made of ABS plastic.

The MR Helmet smells pretty bad with fiberglass chemicals. Don't think anyone could wear it too long without passing out :lol.

wow that's a fine lookin helmet!!!
Is the SDS Hero brow really that low? Looks like it's fallin down!

That's because the faceplate of the SDS Helmet has been attached to the dome/ cap back at too sharp an angle which makes the brow appear to sit too low. However, I think this can be remedied by reattaching the faceplate to the dome/ capback at a more oblique angle, I just haven't done that with mine yet.

In the near future I plan on modding my SDS helmet to correct this assembly issue, as well as remove all the decals and repaint all the trapezoids, etc. using pics from the C4 display of a real 'Hero' Helmet as reference.

It is a list with a picture and name of every known helmet made. You don't have access to it yet, as it is in the Privileged Section.

Actually it's not that blurry, but it's green and you still can't see worth s**t out of it, just like any trooper helmet. Definitely don't wear it when you have a hang over, the green lenses combined with the noxious fumes are likely to make you vomit even if you don't have a hang over :lol.

I'm with T. It's symmetrical and not fully accurate but it is so much more handsome than the SDS. The SDS looks sloppy by comparison. If people want asymmetry, I suppose they could just put the MR over a stove and turn up the heat. :toothy

Excellent photography by the way! Two thumbs up!

I took these pics a few days ago. My SDS Hero was in the loft and upon bringing it down I realised that despite angling the face plate it still needs to be more vertical....

Nice comp pix Jez....the lopsided frown on the MR still bugs me a bit but it doesn't seem nearly as pronounced in these photos....which is good. Still waiting for mine to arrive....

Nice pics zenwalker and jez !

Thank you for posting

I can't wait to have my MR helmet !
I have an SDS armor and the color is not exactly the same than the MR but do you think the MR helmet could match with the SDS armor color?

Thanks
