Hey all-
I've been trying to find out who the original designer was for the cog and rebel insignias back in the 70's and have been having some trouble. I finally emailed A Ainsworth in desperation and he mentioned that John Mollo may have done it, since he supplied them to Shepperton. I'm currently trying to confirm that.
I thought some of you might know? Or, know someone who knows someone who knows someone who might know...?

tnks in advance!!!

I dont think it was Mollo's - and dont recall seeing them in his art books.

IMO it could have been someone like Joe Johnston, its more his style. Just a guess though

Cheers

Jez

I'm dying to find out...whether it was a graphic designer they hired or if it was another artist on the team...

I don't think they hired outside help... they had plenty of artists on hand. Joe Johnston springs to mind as at least one extremely talented artist and I'm sure they had several.

Why do you want the know the artist?

If you want the Imperial logo itself, I can just email it to you.

Knowledge and research require patience. I truly have no patience. I must be a Sith....

We Sith have no patience... we live to our passions, not patience.

Waitasec, you mean to tell me you're all wannabe Siths only? :toothy

Never said I was a Sith... they are nothing but whiners! :lol

Though, you are wrong about the Sith having no patience... heck... they waited a thousand years to strike out at the Jedi... if you don't call that patience... I don't know what is...

But... I still put my money on someone like Joe Johnston (if that's how you spell his name...)
