I saw the same helmet a week ago in MEPD website. Personally I think that is completely wrong :pale . Also it is not "original" anymore since it is not the original paint job from ANH or ESB anymore. So what is the point to spend that amount if you can not identify it in any of the two movies anymore. Just imagine for a while if Brian R would decide to restore his bucket... :ill

Cheers

boy oh boy theres alot of 0,000 .This is madness to the extream ,why oh why would anyone put a paint brush or spray gun anywhere near an orig lid.(maybe trying to hid its true origins) this just puts a BIG dought in my eyes.
I see its a three vent lid so it would not have been that hard to track down the film shot or even which film its from.As it now stands the one and all of use have no idea ,and no amount of paperwork is going to send me down to the bank and part with a cent.A real shame!

Looks kinda "off" to me. I'd be interested to hear GINO's or Troopermaster's opinion on it.

Blech! Not worth $20K IMO

Oh well, there is a shot in the movie with two stormtroopers(stunt) shooting on the ground to Luke and Leia. Aparently both stormtrooper are the only ones(stunt) in the movie with 3 holes in each side the frown(6 total) instead of 4. I will post that image later today whenever I arrive home.

Cheers

Don't forget these from the same seller:

Only 80,000 big ones:

Not sure if this is the real deal. In an interview I swear I remember Ewan saying they got to keep their lightsabers.

And one more for giggles:

Strikes me a little odd... an ESB painted up like an ANH with an ANH screen cap. now if the helmet was taken apart to be restored they could haev re assembled the helmet wrong? But then again the helmets where slaped together for the films.

Also with the mic tips Did they change them from ANH to ESB to ROTJ or keep the same ones?
Because the screen in the mic tips are way different.

These two pictures could be a possible match..., but I still have my doubts. Why do you want to hide?, Why do not leave it as it was (ESB) :protest

Well... it isn't the first time this helmet has been restored, iirc. From what I remember it was restored extremely badly the first time, with odd looking decals and straight tube stripes... now it is somewhat passable... but still sad to see what they did to it.

I wouldn't have changed a thing about the helmet. But if it where in my hands to "restore" i could have done a hell of alot better job then this!

Hey fellas

Both of the ears are replicas on this, the nose vents were filled recently, it was 'restored' in the UK then sent to Michael Moore of H.H.S. Props to be used as the master to created the Master Replicas Stormtrooper helmet.

It is a 100% genuine HDPE ESB helmet. Here are a few more shots.

I quite like it even though it has been messed with, it is still an iconic prop used in both A New Hope and Empire.

Hi Carsten,

It must be a different helmet that Joiner had restored as the really bad one you are talking about had seven or eight teeth cut out. This only has 6 so looks like Joiner has ruined two original helmets :(

Or maybe they filled up the additional holes from the inside... one can only HOPE that it's the same helmet... as that other thought is just frightening.
