Are there any screen accurate Scouttrooper helmets out there.

I've been looking for one for a very long time, but haven't found one yet.

I own the Altmanns helmet. It's nice, but far from accurate (as are the most)

Any suggestions?

I have heard mention of rare screen used copies going for around $1500+, but I have never seen anyone.

Troopermaster is currently sculpting one and I think it'll be the most accurate available, when he's finished.

Other than that there is the MLC helmet... but not completely accurate, still one of the best ones available atm.

I've heard those rumours too, but I think that's just what they are...rumours.

But I hope I'm wrong!

Unless you take an original apart, you can't really make casts of it... and who would risk destroying an original just to make copies?

You would only get "cast from original" if the original molds were used and assembled as the real helmets were... but how likely is that?

I really don't think it's possible to get cast from original Scout helmets... but the rumors are there... and would be cool to get them confirmed or disproved.

As mentioned. Altmanns, MLC are the best, imo, available now... but I'm seriously looking forward to Troopermaster's sculpt.

Btw: moving to the trooper section! :thumbsup

I've got an MLC... it's a nice helmet, not 100% accurate, but as of now, I think it's probably the closest out there. I'm anxious to see his V2, which he has supposedly started work on. The price is a killer though :-(

There is a member on the Bikersouct.net board that owns a screen used Biker bucket. But sadly no molds or direct measurements have been taken, only hi res photos.

i was under the impression that the bucket you're thinking of is actually the property of steve sansweet, he just let army scout take some good pics of it. hell, if it was my screen used bucket, i'd cast it.

How would you cast it without taking it apart?
