Some comparison pics of (from L to R) the SDS (Stunt) vs the TE SFS vs the TE (Bumpy Cap)

(and yes, I know there are no mic tips on the SFS  )

Very nice.

Everyone's entitled to their own preferences, but to me -- in the first shot -- the two on the right win, and the one in the center wins hands down.

Nice collection!

How do the two TE helmets compare? I heard the SFS was slightly smaller than the bumpy cap version...what do you think?

-Paul.

Thanks guys! :)

Paul, the BC is the smallest. The SDS and SFS are (more or less) of the same size.
The SFS has very sharp details (the vocoder is by far the sharpest I've ever seen)
The BC is the softest of these three.

I think I've not studied troopers as much as Vader :lol but I like them all... and can't really spot many of the differences between the three that other people see - more noticeable in the side shots though.

I like all of those helmets for different reasons (not to sound politically correct), but the TESFS is definitely my favourite of the three overall. I am not up to speed on the SFS Helmet info. other than I know it is fiberglass, is it cast from one or two different helmets? Does anyone know if the SFS Helmet is still available for purchase?

The SFS is laserscanned from the actual SFS helmet. It has been cleaned up a bit and sharpened in places, so it's a 97.5% accurate replica of the original, imo.

Regarding whether it's still for sale... I really have no clue. You'll have to talk to TE, the maker, about that. He currently resides over at: First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment

From what I've heard it was originally commissioned as a one-off, but TE went ahead and sold more despite the buyers wishes.

SWC - so whats this new FG helmet like - can it be worn (is it heavy)?

Also - what kind of ears does it have - didnt the originals FG ones have them moulded in then later TE did them as abs?

Cheers

Jez

Thanks Jez.

Yes it can be worn, needs a little padding though.
About the weight: my GUESS is it weighs about as much as an MR Clone or maybe a little heavier.

The one I have is a one piece design (ears moulded in). AFAIK the V2 (separate abs ears) never went into production.

Congrats SWC, very nice piece. I didn't notice the ears were molded-in, they almost look like they are seperate, still looks great though.
