Very sad to hear. 2016 has been a terrible year for pop culture news.

Very sad. I've wondered if it is something specific about this year, or is it just that a lot of favorite stars of our pop culture generation are now hitting a certain threshold age above which any number of health conditions can occur. I fear the latter and it may forecast worse years ahead.

So sad. She had a great impact on my life through her performances in several movies. R.I.P.

Meryl Streep concluded her Cecil B. DeMille Award acceptance speech at tonight's Golden Globes by quoting Carrie Fisher: "As my friend, the dear departed Princess Leia, said to me once, 'Take your broken heart, make it into art.'"
