At first glance, it looks a bit like the Illusive Concepts mask and armor. The neck brace, however, is different than the IC.

That being said, the little parts and details seem much better than the IC's - a lot of which were resin and part of the casting.

I'm not excited about the helmet, but in overall presentation and execution, it's superior to the IC's.

I hate seeing the neck seal parts stick out. It may be "canon" but you never saw that happen on the screen-used. NEVER. I know some costumers love doing that but, honestly, it makes them look like Frankenvaders. :ac10

Its certainly a great collectable, but not a great prop....like every other prop which is licensed.

The licensed stuff is certainly improving, looking forward to seeing some photo's of the actual product.

Would love one if I could get one. Looks like they even did the inside of the mask.

I never look for prop accuracy in stuff such as this or even expect it. Just an overall "cool" factor. Looking forward to some better pictures.

It also looks similar to this one - the nose and the way the cheeks turn into the nose:

However, the LFL promo (above) has sharper nose notches and thicker eyebrows. Teeth holes might be a touch wider.

I have yet to see anyone capture Sebastian Shaw's likeness as Anakin.

They look okay for ROTJ.

This stuff is made for the average collector, not for us knit-picking, detail freaks... :hehe-err

Not bad at all for a licensed piece IMO.

The lenses appear to be flat.

QFT. No need for us here to beat up on this piece. It isn't designed for the uber nerds of Star Wars that we are. These things are built for the "Ooo, that's cool!" crowd.

I have no idea how much they're going to sell this for. I'm going to estimate a ballpark of $800-$1,400+. It looks like they put in much more work into the Reveal parts than Illusive Concepts ever did to their bust. That said, a fully completed Vader that provides a respectable level of detail is hard to accomplish. Yes, one can make a bust by pairing up armor and a helmet, but the Reveal aspect takes a lot longer.

Sure, you can make yourself an accurate bust, but not everyone has the skills. Scouring the web for decent armor and a helmet is one thing. Then building all that Reveal stuff yourself is a pain, not to mention camping on RPF in the hopes that someone will offer the parts. Even if you have connections or know sources in the community, it's a piece-meal operation that takes a lot of time.

This Sideshow bust is essentially a non-fuss one-stop shop transaction.

I like it for what it is. A straight out of the box display piece.
