Managed to acquire this recently.

Not really into fibreglass helmets, but impressed with this helmet, especially that someone else has already done all the hard work in the accurate paint job. So thought I would share some pics...

Congrats! :thumbsup

Although it being a one piece design, it's still one of my favorites.

Certainly doesn't look like a one piece and the HDPE colour is nice on the inside.

Excellent piece, they did a very good job of making it look like a real HDPE bucket. :thumbsup

I know this is such a cheesy thing to say, but I would LOVE to own it. Definitely a piece worthy of being proud about! :thumbsup

Hi Scott,

That is a great lid mate. Are the ear caps scribed or just painted where they meet the helmet.

I have one of these and always pondered cutting off the earcaps and then putting them back on to create the look of the plastic helmets - but didn't ever pluck up the courage :)

Cheers Chris

Thanks Guys!!...I am very lucky to get this! :headbang

Chris, The ears are just drawn round with a pencil giving the gap look, but they are still attached!!

I believe this is the helmet TE kinda screwed someone to get it scanned by Gentle Giant and use the data for himself.

That said, it is a mighty impressive paintjob, and it makes the helmet look great.

I know you bought it already painted... but do you know who painted it and what paint he/she used? Would love to hear more as I just love that sheen of the white. :thumbsup
