Star Wars Begins - The Complete Documentary: LINK

I'll have to set aside time to watch the whole thing... It bothers me when I hear it said that "Episode IV A New Hope" was added in 1981. It was NOT that late. I went to a re-release of SW in either late '79 or early '80 which ran the first trailer (not teaser) for ESB, and I distinctly remember noting the addition of the episode number, name etc. at the beginning of SW. It was definitely before the release of ESB; and it makes sense to tie them in as episodes BEFORE the next were to come out.

I've seen most of the documentaries this guy has put together and, apart from the odd bit of questionable information, they are terrific! Probably 90% or more of what is there is stuff we've seen/heard before but there are some real nuggets of the "where the heck did they dig that up?" variety. For a movie that has constantly been portrayed as a low budget effort they documented the hell out of every frame.

I've got this burned to dvd, there were several things i had never heard of. The main one was that the mouse droid was made from a mold of R2's middle foot! Seems obvious now....

Whilst i'm now at work, i used our IT Environment to fake my IP and cached a redirected Proxy connection to make it work - i hate to use the dirty tricks
