I think to obtain a good understanding of the Star Wars subject it is important to collect the books that focus on George Lucas. At the time the original copy of this book was written in 1982 and printed in 1983. For a short time it served as a definitive version as far as Lucas books go. Nowadays many more books have been written about George Lucas but this remains one of the fresher subjects with a different version of the Prequel trilogy yet to come. The book often follows the relationship of Lucas and Coppola along with Marcia and it makes for compelling reading. There is something beneficial about having this book because it offers a different view from a different time. It's fairly well written but the author has since been taken down a peg or two and accused of twisting some articles to make the book more interesting or just doing research on blind faith. Overall It's worth a read and it's timeframe seperates it along with the Alan Arnold book.

I found this book interesting and I may pick it up for a third read later in the year. It's covers quite a broad topic. It's not the definitive version on Lucas and some points of accuracy remains to give the author the benefit of the doubt but personally I like it because while sketchy at times it is a good book.
