They lost the licence before it evolved from the prototype stage... they apparently didn't want to renew it, or LFL didn't or something.

Also... it would probably have been too accurate looking for LFLs liking... seeing how they mess up pretty much all Vader helmets and figures.

i hate that "too accurate for LFL" crap - why can't they just let things be perfect?

Love the Marmit!

I was offered the chance to buy that prototype for $3000!

I passed.

Cool. So... you've seen it in person?

No I have not seen it in person. I know someone who has contacts in japan and he contacted Hakurai Toys to inquire about them.
They had one left at the time of the five prototypes they obtained.

Still... lucky b*****d! :thumbsup

Though... quite a hefty price... for something THAT small...

That was my thinking. You can get almost a full 1:1 replica for only a little more.

And a 1:1 replica is really just as limited. There are almost no two that are alike.

(Someday mine will be done....lol)

I may be wrong but I'm sure I saw one on ebay a while back. It wasn't cheap but I wish I bought it now.

As for the medicom. Yeah good figure..well.. until you compare it. I got the Ver 1 ROTJ Medicom and I thought it was pretty cool until that comparison :sad

LFL needs to sort this out. Even the sideshow Vader at some 18+inches is inferior to the Marmit :grumpy .

I believe that's one of the Hurricane customs. He posts over at RebelScum. Does quite fantastic work, though he uses found parts, afaik.

The marmit really looks awesome but it should not be ..... :pale
I have the Medicom ROTJ and although he is looking not so well as the marmit but i think he is a great figure, too. But it's a pity that it is smaller in size than the Marmits and the Sideshow's, so i hope Sideshow will offer a accurate Vader on time.

From Marmit i have the sandtrooper, the Tie Pilot, the Boba and the AT-AT Driver in my collection but the vader is still the best they made.

I never went onto the site before, now Iv'e seen this :drool . The perfect ESB figure. Why the hell can't this type of product be offered to us?? LFL should give the fans a chance to own something that resembles the screen version.

This prompts me to say I am moving house, was boxing up lots and lots of Vader figures last night and it's amasing that throughout all the changes of the 3 3/4 inch figures over the years in particular since 1995 they just can't get anything right :rolleyes .
