I'm supposed to be saving money and spending them... but alas... I'm not perfect. Bought a TE helmet yesterday... it happened so fast... I had paid pretty much only seconds after saying "I'm interested in..." to TE... weird. He will make and assemble mine next week - no paint, lenses or mic tips or anything... just face, back/cap, ears & brow trim. Couldn't help myself, so I had to buy... damn my wallet is not gonna like this... Don't know if I should post a link to the topic off-board... but I could always pm you the link. Would be interesting to hear whether you think it is a good buy. |

Not as big a moron as I am, I bought one of the full-blown $450 ones! I've even got to wait a few weeks until he works out the smooth back/cap piece. But I've always wanted a TE helmet and to have one that's nearly identical to the one he owned is going to be sweet! Dave |

Well... I don't think you're a moron. Seems I'm getting a bumpy cap... and that's cool, imo! |

PM sent. Asked TE whether I would be allowed to post his pictures here and whether it was okay to forward people from here to him. We'll see what he says. |

Well you like stormtroopers right, how could you be a retard. No a morron would be someone who already owns 10 trooper helmets and then suddenly decides he needs another one and that his girlfriend won't notice anyway.... Now that would be a morron with a big M Dave C, I'm not sure I understand did you ask TE to make you one with a smooth cap and back??? |

Oh... not retard for buying a trooper helmet, no... a retard because I'm spending money I was saving for something else! Here's some pictures of the type of helmet that convinced me to buy (re-posted with permission) |

Looks a lot better than those cream-colored ones. The stunts were not brush painted were they? I thought they were sprayed, just heavily, resulting in the drips. I looked on the bottle of my suntan lotion (yes, I use it when I am at the pool) and it had HDPE stamped into it. Gave me a good idea of how flexible this helmet could be. |

You're not a retard. A doofis, maybe, but not a retard! But seriously, I would have fallen to the temptation myself. But it takes a good helmet to do that, and the TE is a very attractive helmet. There is no shame in that, other than the momentary depletion of money from your wallet! |
