Pictures to the left is how it looked when I got it. Have worked very little on it at this stage... and was really not that well versed in Vader at the time, so I cut the nose-slots wrong... may end up re-doing them later to make them more accurate:

Pictures to the right is current stage of progress:

Nope, nothing yet... have been swamped by other projects, unfortunately... haven't really had the inclination to take it down from the shelf and do anything to it... but will soon... promise! :thumbsup

What source is the helmet originally? How is your concept Vader doing?

All I know about it is that it's a JediJeffrey vac-formed styrene helmet, probably made on top of an existing helmet - most likely from the GH family, as it shares all the inaccuracies of those helmets. I have spent most of my time trying to fix those and make it more accurate.

The Concept Vader is at a full stop, atm. Other projects and unfortunately personal issues are getting in the way. I may start working on it again soon... or in a couple of months... I dunno... though... the initial work has been done... and I may still work on reshaping the face... and all the things that doesn't require any sculpting or re-fitting at this time.

It does look very GH, the size, the neck, teeth, and previous mouth slant all are evident. Good job. So many of these WIP take so long we never get a finalised project.

Hope it goes well. I may of misread but what Vader are you going for? ANH I guess?

Not sure which Vader yet... but will keep you guys posted when I figure it out... until then it's an ANH! :thumbsup

Well... you can't go about the teeth... well, at least not in its current state, as they are scratch-built. Had to cut out the old ones and install new rods... still working on sanding down the excess filler.

Will get to work on this again soon. My hands are shaking too much to do fine detail work, which is why there haven't been any updates on the Mal Reynolds kit for the past few days.

Though... I might as well begin gathering info on paints I need to procure... I know I need black... and I think I know which kind to get... so now the question is: "which gunmetal color"?

I remember seeing, I believe it was Pantheragem, doing a brush on gunmetal with a scratch filler of some kind on his Rubies Supreme... and also mixed some colors to paint his SPFX ANH... would really love some details on those... as I can't seem to find the topic where it was posted on the RPF...

Please help... as I really wanna do a great paint-job and that effect produced with the brushed on gunmetal on both helmets just looked so cool! :thumbsup

Will also soon begin stripping the paint off my SPFX ANH... any thoughts on the best way to do this? I was thinking using brake fluid, but I have been told that it may attack the fiberglass and I don't want that.

Any help would be appreciated.

Damn... how the hell did you find that... I spent a good deal of 1½ hours trying to find that... getting really frustrated and then ultimately giving up and posting here instead after writing you... hmm... maybe I should just have done a search instead...

Thanks mate! :thumbsup
