New edition: Anon ESB helmet - finished by Juan. I received this a bit ago, just got around to getting a few photos of it this morning. The decals are screen printed, and simply beautiful in both color and the screen printed texture. Juan did a most exceptional job finishing this helmet. This helmet is flipping gorgeous - Juan is one talented master craftsman and artist. I wish my original Anon ANH version of this helmet turned out this well, instead of having the paint melt under the rubber trim. Many many thanks, Juan. Also hoping everything is going well for you and your family while you're staying in Texas. |

Very nice. Looks a lot like the ESB helmet shown in the Star Wars Objets Du Mythe book. |

Indeed a very nice helmet for any collection Juest a shame that the HPDE is a real pain in the ass and the paint will not stay really long on it. Also if you not handle or wear the helmet, the paint will come off. The shape of the Anon helmet is also very nice and sharp, but would say it's a touch smaller than the RS helmet. |

I agree the helmet is a bit smaller than the RS helmet. There is something I love about the shape, aside from the hard seem along the tube in the back of the helmet. The shape reminds me of this helmet from ANH, which is my favorite version - probably just the extreme camera angle. I have no idea how long the paint will last, but I rarely touch it, and definitely don't let the kids touch it. LOL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That was my reference material for this particular helmet Well you certainly did a good job. Nice gloss on the white paint. What brand paint did you use, surface prep, number of costs and thickness, any top clearcoat applied? I've tried many combinations on HDPE, still searching for the optimal technique. I wonder which specific ANH stormtrooper helmet is the same one as the repainted, repurposed ESB helmet from the book? We know it can't be Stop That Ship, Set For Stun, or How Long Have You Had These Droids. |

No really, I was a stormtrooper in Star Wars! OK pause, wait too far. Back one frame. That's me! Unfortunately many of those helmets didn't last past the first movie. If they had, the "right look" for a stormtrooper helmet might have been much different. Each one had their own quirks, some easy to spot, some not. I see Mr. No Stripes next to the guy you circled. #1 easiest to spot! |
